Purpose and description of the content of education:
Participation in the module allows students to acquire and systematise knowledge on issues related to processes occurring in the contemporary labour market. During the seminar, changes in the demand for labour and the supply of labour resources will be discussed - also taking into account the specificity of the Silesian Voivodeship. Students will interpret and draw conclusions from the results of studies on labour demand and the issue of professional activation of the unemployed. Students will become acquainted with the methodology of collecting information on the labour market (Occupations Barometer, BDL databases, Eurostat). During the discussion, the impact of crisis situations on the demand and supply of labour resources will be discussed. The discussion will also focus on the problem of pauperisation of the economically active part. Students will also learn about methods of active job search and the principles of preparation for recruitment and selection.
