French with the Specialized Translation and CAT Programme is an MA degree programme designed for those who intend to pursue a career involving a fluent command of the French language. The programme offers French language courses as part of the practical French language module where students hone their practical skills. They also develop communicative skills in a second foreign language. The programme which focuses on the MA module involves courses in linguistics and literature, the aim of which is to explore the linguistic and literary phenomena characteristic for French and Francophone culture, as well as specialized translation. Offering specialized seminars, the programme also allows students to explore the specificity of research in the discipline of their choice. Romance philology is addressed to those who associate their professional career with the practical use of foreign languages in the sphere of business, administration, culture or tourism. Studies in the specializations of Computer Assisted Translation and Translation for Specific Purposes in French, Italian and Translation Studies, Spanish and Translation Studies, French and English as Applied Languages: Business French and English and Translation Studies, Italian and English as Applied Languages: Business Italian and English and Translation Studies and Spanish and the Culture, Literature, and Media in Latin America develop linguistic and general humanistic interests in students and let the students acquire specific, practical professional skills. Apart from practical language learning, the curriculum contains also such subjects as linguistics, literary studies, life and institutions and translation. Such a selection of subjects allows students to quickly master the chosen language, become proficient in various types of discourse, be able to use the most important translation techniques and learn new technologies of work on the written and spoken texts.

Romance philology is addressed to those who associate their professional career with the practical use of foreign languages in the sphere of business, administration, culture or tourism. Studies in the specializations of Computer Assisted Translation and Translation for Specific Purposes in French, Italian and Translation Studies, Spanish and Translation Studies, French and English as Applied Languages: Business French and English and Translation Studies, Italian and English as Applied Languages: Business Italian and English and Translation Studies and Spanish and the Culture, Literature, and Media in Latin America develop linguistic and general humanistic interests in students and let the students acquire specific, practical professional skills. Apart from practical language learning, the curriculum contains also such subjects as linguistics, literary studies, life and institutions and translation. Such a selection of subjects allows students to quickly master the chosen language, become proficient in various types of discourse, be able to use the most important translation techniques and learn new technologies of work on the written and spoken texts.

The programme which focuses on the MA module involves courses in linguistics and literature, the aim of which is to explore the linguistic and literary phenomena characteristic for French and Francophone culture, as well as specialized translation. Romance philology is addressed to those who associate their professional career with the practical use of foreign languages in the sphere of business, administration, culture or tourism. Studies in the specializations of Computer Assisted Translation and Translation for Specific Purposes in French, Italian and Translation Studies, Spanish and Translation Studies, French and English as Applied Languages: Business French and English and Translation Studies, Italian and English as Applied Languages: Business Italian and English and Translation Studies and Spanish and the Culture, Literature, and Media in Latin America develop linguistic and general humanistic interests in students and let the students acquire specific, practical professional skills. Apart from practical language learning, the curriculum contains also such subjects as linguistics, literary studies, life and institutions and translation. Such a selection of subjects allows students to quickly master the chosen language, become proficient in various types of discourse, be able to use the most important translation techniques and learn new technologies of work on the written and spoken texts.

SPECIALIZATION CHARACTERISTICS
Spanish with the Translation Programme is an MA degree programme designed for those who intend to pursue a career involving a fluent command of the Spanish language. The programme offers Spanish language courses as part of the practical Spanish language module where students hone their practical skills. They also develop communicative skills in a second foreign language. The programme which focuses on the MA module involves courses in linguistics and literature, the aim of which is to explore the linguistic and literary phenomena characteristic for Spanish-speaking regions. Offering specialized seminars, the programme also allows students to explore the specificity of research in the discipline of their choice. The extended translation module includes courses which increase students’ knowledge in the field of translation studies and enhance their practical skills in both translating specialized as well as literary texts and interpreting.
