Purpose and description of the content of education: | The module focuses on the analysis of literary texts as carriers and transmitters of cultural, social and worldview values. The class aims to show how literature participates in cultural processes - not as an object of autonomous literary analysis, but as part of a broader cultural landscape in which texts are interpreted, evaluated and used in various social contexts. Particular emphasis is placed on cultural criteria for valuing literary texts - such as their identity function, their role in the construction of collective memory, their emancipatory potential, their conformity to dominant social norms or their ability to initiate public debate. Institutional and social mechanisms (e.g., literary canon, education, media) that influence the status and reception of texts are also analyzed. |
