Description: | The aim of the classes is to broaden students’ knowledge about theatre studies as well as familiarise them with selected theories and concepts connected with theatre. The course introduces major traditional and contemporary movements in the evolution of drama along with their cultural and historical contexts. Topics covered include the main elements of drama structure and their functions, dramatic genres, the history of the theatre in the West. During the classes, the students will be acquainted with the key terms used in contemporary theatre studies. |
