Description: | Students familiarize themselves with the terminology used to describe syntax. They learn to identify components of a sentence and represent phrase structure in graphic form by means of tree diagrams. Simple sentence constituents and types of complex sentences are discussed. Correspondences between the form and meaning of sentences is demonstrated.
