Description:
Elective course: students have an option to choose one of several courses focusing on select English-speaking countries (excluding UK and USA). The module aims to introduce ideas on culture as a broadly understood concept, starting with the analysis of cultural studies terminology, to the analysis of texts, communication codes from diverse fields of culture, mechanisms explaining the functioning of governmental and cultural institutions, to the most important processes shaping identity and its meaning in multicultural societies.
