Description:
The aim of this course is to develop students’ skills of editing and revising an academic text using information technology tools. During the course, students become acquainted with the basics of editing and proofreading and the most important rules of selected style manuals. Students develop IT skills related to text editing and, as a result of the course, attain an intermediate level of knowledge of text editing programmes, allowing them to edit their diploma paper thesis independently. The technical competences acquired during the course include: preparing bibliographies and footnotes according to selected style manuals, knowledge of word processing software, basic functions of word processing programs, working with multipage documents, mailings, inserting graphics and tables, proofreading options, and basic skills in editing shared documents.

Successful completion of the second year of studies.
