Description: | The module focuses on further deepening of students’ knowledge and practical skills in composing longer academic texts, including the BA diploma paper. Apart from written exercises in formulating coherent and convincing argumentation as well as in academic style, the module introduces students to the elements of research required in academic papers (research question, thesis, bibliography, quotations and footnoting). Additionally, it makes students aware of the dangers of plagiarism, also unintended plagiarism, and assists them further in the development of paraphrasing and summarizing skills. |
