Description:
The module aims to further improve students’ practical English skills in terms of fluency of speech, language correctness, and pronunciation. It also develops techniques of effective verbal communication and continues to train ways of constructing logical and coherent arguments by introducing elements of practical rhetoric. The module deepens proficiency in interactive communication skills such as active listening techniques and extracting key information. The module also pays attention to further developing students' range of vocabulary and language structures, and expanding their linguistic and cultural awareness. The module introduces students to the specific organisation and types of oral responses according to cultural context.
