Description:
The elective module in media offers a selection of original courses: students choose specific courses from course proposals covering various aspects of contemporary media. Depending on students' selection, two or more courses can be taught in the semester. The module aims to discuss selected theoretical and critical approaches to selected media forms or - depending on students' choice - present their practical implementation and develop design or analytical skills, the form, shape and scope of which depend on the detailed course syllabus. Course selection includes a course in digital game design and a course in more general media practices. Students are introduced to contemporary media practices and techniques. Students also learn to creatively analyze media and cultural processes that surround media practices or – depending on course selection – express such analyses creatively in the form of their own media projects.
