Description:
Students are offered a choice between particular course proposals focused on literary translation, translation of texts of culture and game localization. The module aims to develop students’ practical skills translation skills within the scope of selected translation disciplines of translation of literary or cultural texts, or advanced localization techniques. Classes in literary or cultural translation are designed to broaden students' knowledge of translation strategies and methods and to work with texts of greater complexity while applying knowledge of literature and culture to translation. Game localization classes are designed to develop students’ practical and technical skills related to this type of translation; this course may also emphasize the legal and cultural aspects of localization. The module develops advanced linguistic competence and students’ analytical skills.
