Description:
The elective module in cultural or literary theory offers a selection of original courses: students choose specific courses from course proposals covering various aspects of cultural or literary theory. Course proposals can also be focused on game studies. Depending on students' selection, two or more courses can be taught in the semester. The contents of individual courses are variable, but they are framed within the context of selected topics in contemporary literary or cultural studies. The module aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge of selected literary or cultural theories. The course develops analytical competences which are to enable students to independently and critically examine selected aspects of cultural processes and products of culture (including literature). The course also aims to develop students’ abilities to formulate judgments, constructively exchange views, and conduct debates on the discussed examples of cultural and literary theories.
