ECTS credits: 2
Description:
The module Selected elements of petroleum geology is to enable the student to learn about selected issues concerning the formation and occurrence of oil and gas deposits in the Earth's crust. The student will learn the basic English terminology regarding the genesis and occurrence of hydrocarbon deposits, including the forms of occurrence and adequate research methodology. Thanks to this, the student will acquire appropriate language competences (English) in the field of reading scientific texts and editing basic studies and papers on selected issues of petroleum geology.
Prerequisites:
Basis of geology, English, Physical geology, Hydrogeology, Drilling, Energy resources, Field exercises in geology and exploitation of deposits.
