Description:
Module in glottodidactics is intended to extend and deepen students' knowledge of essential issues in the field of psycholinguistics, applied linguistics and language teaching. Besides, module aims at reviewing current theories and models of language teaching, discussing trends and tendencies in classroom-based and language-based research. Module content is adjusted to the needs and interests of a particular of students by means of preliminary needs analysis. Students can choose from two thematic areas: Option A – Difficulties in foreign language teaching and learning The aim is to identify, analyze and discuss challenges, difficulties and problems related to foreign language teaching and learning. Thematic scope also covers an overview of possible means, solutions and coping strategies. Option B – Reflective teaching. Individualisation in foreign language teaching and learning The aim is to discuss the idea of reflective teaching and familiarize students with tools that enhance reflection. Module content also focuses on individualisation, its characteristics and strategies for individualising foreign language instruction
