Description: | In interpreting classes students acquire and develop the skills of translation of various types of written texts exploring the general variety of business English, including e.g. press articles, academic and commercial texts. Students basic knowledge on the topic of the very process of translation, the vital factors influencing its outcome – the translation of a given text and the applied methods and procedures.
Students translate the texts from English into Polish and from Polish into English, including their work during the classes (on their own, as a pair work or a group work), and also as a home assignment. The texts translated are similar in terms of genre, subject matter and target readership. |
