Description: | The aim of the course called Monographic Lecture is a certain kind of résumé of the basic knowledge from literature, culture, aesthetics and Anglo-American philosophy, with elements of the European culture, to prepare the student for the discussion during the defence of Master's Dissertation. It is also a form of stimulation of intellectual activity through reading of literary, aesthetic, and philosophical texts, other than those which were canon of the literary theory while studying philology. The lecture is designed to stimulate thinking and association of facts, phenomena and concepts, but also to summarise knowledge from literature, culture and philosophy with elements of aesthetics, ethics or other humanities, to show interdisciplinary nature of knowledge and dependence on one field from another. It is also designed to show practical aspects of the acquired knowledge in the daily life and functioning of the society, differences in differences in the chromatic cartography of many European and non-European identities. The theme of a lecture can be, for example, the role of a subject in the construction of literary discourse from the Middle Ages to the period of post-modernism. Reminding the texts from particular periods, but particularly from the modernity and post modernity and their chronological juxtaposition showing transformations in the comprehension of reality. |
