Description:
Implementation of the subject Contemporary currents in pedagogy results from the need for innovative-critical reflection on teaching pedagogy in the academic system of educating teachers and is also associated with the broad analysis of transformations in educational philosophy and teleology and their consequences for the development and education of the contemporary man. Familiarization with selected currents in pedagogy at the turn of the 20th and 21st century aims at introducing future teachers into the issues of the multitude and variety of educational views, visions and methodological solutions which are of crucial significance for the theory and practice of education. This also aims at preparing students for acquiring skills useful for functioning in a particular socio-cultural reality.
