Description:
Didactic aim: familiarizing students with goals and values of voice emission training, introducing theoretical aspcets and practical issues of appropriate voice production, analyzing phenomena that take place in the phonatory system. Familiarizing students with the mechanisms and techniques of improving voice quality, developing appropriate phonatory attitude and the techniques of voice control that reflect one's hearing and feelings, familiarizing students with rules concerning voice disorder prevention and vocal hygiene. Classes cover the following issues: 1. Issures related to widespread need of voice training – goals, principles of appropriate voice emission, differences between speech and singing. 2. Developing vocal system – techniques. 3. Background knowledge about voice emission - voice control. 4. Anatomy and functions of the vocal and hearing systems - developing voice qualities, lowering voice tensions. 5. Exercises for the phonatory system, posture. 6. Phonation- larynx, soft palate, . 7. Breathing and respiration. 8. Resonance and register. 9. Voice dynamics. 10. Voice modulation, accentuation, tempo. 11. Voice articulation and diction. 12. Prevention of vocal disorders, vocal hygiene.
