Description:
The objective of this course is to broaden the students’ knowledge and develop in them skills necessary to translate specialised texts, especially legal, business and medical texts. Of particular importance is the ability to revise and verify specialised terminology and search for specialised translation equivalents. Students should also possess the knowledge of lexicographical resources and learn how to use and analyze critically parallel texts and accessible Internet sources (data banks, corpora etc.). Students should also be familiarized with the translator’s workshop and specific features of certified translation.
