Description:
Second year students during their teaching practice make systematic and documented observations of various lessons of English, carried out in real classroom setting by in-service teachers, which allows the trainees to learn the principles of teaching and reflect on the ways of putting into practice the theories, methods and techniques learned by the trainees during all the college courses.

Completing the required number of working hours of teaching practice in the first year of college.

Assessment of filled in lesson observation sheets [S1-NAX-PP2-3_w_1]
During or after each observed lesson, students fill in an observation sheet. The sheets are submitted to the institute teacher training mentor as a part of the documentation confirming the completion of the teaching practice by the student. What is assessed is the systematicity and precision of observation.

Assessment of essays [S1-NAX-PP2-3_w_2]
On the basis of observations carried out on their own, students prepare written assignments, in which they express their ideas on topics related to the content of observations. What is assessed here is the carefulness of observation, the ability to relate it to the pre-service teacher's knowledge gained at college, and the ability to formulate conclusions of such basis.

Assessment of the documentation [S1-NAX-PP2-3_w_3]
Before the commencement and after the completion of the teaching practice students submit to the teaching practice mentor in the institute the whole documentation necessary to start and complete the teaching practice. Waht is assessed is the correctness and thoroughness of the documentation as well as keeping to the deadlines.
