The subject Health education and promotion aims at preparing students for the implementation of educational and health tasks in the work environment and for shaping pro-health, pro-social and pro-family attitudes among learners. The didactic contents should inspire future educationalists to healthy lifestyle and maintaining the harmony of mental, physical and social health.

takes part in preparing preventive and educational-health projects and programmes, is characterized by the creative attitude to solving health and educational problems and by sensitivity and pedagogical culture, is aware of the level of his/her knowledge and skills concerning health education and promotion, understands the need of constant training, makes self-evaluation of his/her own competences and improves his/her skills, is convinced about the significance of professional conduct and following the principles of ethics of the health educationalist [_K_1]
