Description: | Identity in the culturally diverse environment is an academic module concerning one of the basic fields in pedagogy and intercultural education – the issue of identity, which in the situation of the world’s non-obviousness and rapid social change acquires particular significance. The module is aimed at: showing students the cultural diversity of Poland and Europe through the diversity (multitude) of individual and group identities in multicultural environments; analyzing the basic categories and indicators of identity in the light of different concepts of identity; analyzing the determinants of identity shaping; exploring the interrelations between national, ethnic and religious identity; exploring the dilemmas, crises and prospects of shaping individual and group identities in the current European reality; preparing students for understanding the shaping of identity as a task and the potentialities of pedagogical support in this field. |
