Description:
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the issues of ADR in consumer cases. Students will gain knowledge of the legal bases of consumer ADRs, authorized entities, relevant procedures and the importance of these proceedings. The sources of EU law and their implementation into national law will be analyzed. Theoretical analyses will be accompanied by practice: preparing files and documents, solving problems and cases, and conducting discussions.

The first part of the classes is always in the form of a brief lecture on the part of the instructor, intended to introduce the students to the subject matter of the classes. Next, the practical part takes place. These are presentations, group work, solving specific issues, dispute simulations.

Getting acquainted with legal regulations both on national and international level (including EU). Analysis of the jurisprudence of national courts, the CJEU and the ECtHR. Collection and completion of documents. Analysis of materials provided by the lecturer and preparation of short oral statements. Analysis of problems (case studies) presented by the lecturer. Working with the literature of the subject (basic and complementary). Learning the skills defined in module's learning outcomes.
