Description:
The currently ongoing environmental changes are a ”hot topic”, vividly discussed by politicians, scientists and regular people. The CO2 emission and general air pollution are important issues having impact on our healths and lives. We just can’t ignore them. The course: ”Geothermics and other renewables”, addresses the issue by introducing you to a world of alternative, clean and renewable energy sources (RES) that we can utilize, here on our planet. The development of renewable energy sources is one of ways people can fight increasing CO2 emission caused by a modern men industrial civilization and its potential negative impact on the planet Earth.
Prerequisites:
What do you need before start? The course is in English, therefore your written and spoken English must be sufficient to participate in the classes. As a student attending the course you will need to have a working knowledge of physical geology, general geophysics and basic physics. You will need to be familiar with basics of regional geology of Poland. However, the most important for your success will be your curious attitude and willingness to learn.
