Description: | The module is designed to provide the student with basic knowledge concerning various aspects of music as one of the contemporary art disciplines within the following thematic areas:
- music and its development since 1900 from a historical perspective,
- theory of contemporary music in relation to the past and present,
- basic composition techniques applied in contemporary music,
- music in the context of other art disciplines,
- the role and tasks of music in the contemporary world.
The module is designed to enable the student to have a more global vision of a musical work and music as one of the elements of contemporary reality and to provide the student with tools allowing for an analysis and understanding of phenomena connected with them.
The module is supposed to enable the student to use the acquired knowledge and skills for the fulfilment of their own artistic concepts.
