Description:
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the terminology and methodology of phonology as a field of linguistics, as well as to discuss the phonological structure of the English language. The course covers both the segmental features of English phonology, like the phonetic description of English consonants and vowels, and the prosodic features, such as stress, rhythm, and intonation.
