Description:
Students acquire and develop interpreting skills necessary for simultaneous interpreting of legal and medical texts. They develop their knowledge of the interpreting process and important factors having a direct impact on its outcome. These factors include interpreting methods and procedures. Students interpret texts from Polish into English and from English into Polish. They work in class (individually, in pairs or in groups) and at home. The texts to interpret vary in terms of genre, subject matter and target audience.
