Description: | The aim of the module is to equip students with basic knowledge of psychology with regard to emotional, cognitive and social development of children in kindergarten and primary school (classes 1-8). The module familiarizes students with the following topics: principles and regularities of child development, child’s social development, emotions in kindergartners and primary school pupils, ways of supporting child’s emotional development, the development of one’s “I”, thinking processes at the stage of kindergarten and primary school (according to Piaget and Vygotsky), ways of supporting the development of thinking, personality at the stage of kindergarten and primary school, ways of supporting the development of personality. The module prepares students for their student practicum. |
