Student is aware of his/her own knowledge and skills, s/he understands the need of continuous professional self-development, is active and open towards new knowledge. The student is involved in the process of self-assessment and constantly improves his/her skills while performing pedagogical tasks (didactic, educational and caring tasks). [NX-S1-PSWD-1_K1]

Student gets prepared for his/her work responsibly; s/he plans and performs educational tasks (didactic, educational and caring tasks); s/he is aware of the responsibility for children's effective education; s/he realizes the importance of individualisation of the teaching-learning process; s/he is aware of the moral dimension of student's diagnosis and assessment. Student has the skill of planning a foreign language lesson taking into account theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject. S/he is able to integrate methodological and organizational objectives, thematic content, methods and forms of teaching with the topics covered as well as learner's competences and needs. S/he can use different sources (both in Polish and in the target language) as well as implement informational technology into the educational process. [NX-S1-PSWD-1_U1]

Student can evaluate one's own pedagogical performance (including didactic, educational and caring tasks) and name areas that require modification. S/he can experiment and implement innovative solutions, and defiine areas that need further improvement in the future. [NX-S1-PSWD-1_U2]

Student has knowledge on the development of human behaviour, both from the psychological and social perspective, with a special emphasis put on the development of human behaviour with reference to specific stages of education. Student has basic knowledge concerning upbringing and educating, including their psychiological, social-cultural and biological bases. Student can use theoretical knowledge in psychology to analyse and interpret specific pedagogical cases and situations, as well as motives and patterns of behaviours in these situations. Student can use theoretical knowledge in psychology to diagnose, analyze and predict pedagogical situations; is able to select appropriate strategies of courses of action at specific stages of education. Student is convinced about the sense, value and need of taking appropriate pedagogical decisions in the social context. Student is aware of the necessity of taking individualised pedagogical actions (educational and caring) towards students. [NX-S1-PSWD-1_W1]

Student has knowledge about contemporary educational theories and various educational backgrounds; s/he is aware of the specific character of educational processes. S/he is familiar with reasons of learner's misbehaviour and knows some coping strategies that can be applied in a classroom. [NX-S1-PSWD-1_W2]

Student has basic knowedge about people participating in the teaching-learning process (i.e. students, their parents and teachers); has basic knowledge about the speciifc character of teaching students with special educational needs, including gifted learners. S/he is familiar with various ways of teaching a foreign language to SEN students; s/he knows how to communicate and act in an educational setting (e.g. perfoming didactic, educational and caring tasks as well as overcoming and dealing with protential problems successfully). Student knows basic issues concerning methodology of foreign language teaching in primary school, i.e. aims and didactic principles, methods and forms of teaching, audivisual aids used in the teaching-learning process; S/he has basic knowledge about safety and hygiene regulations in educational, upbringing and caring institutions. Familiarizing students with the emotional, cognitive and social development of children in kindergarten and primary school in the form of lectures with the use of audiovisual materials and discussion.
