Students are fully aware of the level of their knowledge and skills, they understand the need for continuous vocational improvement and self-development, they make critical assessment of their own competences and develop skills required in the position of an English language teacher, especially in teaching adolescents and adults. Students are deeply convinced of the sense, value and need to undertake pedagogical activity in the social environment. They are ready to face various vocational challenges. Students are aware of the necessity of undertaking individualized pedagogical actions in teaching English as a foreign language depending on the specific student predispositions, especially when it comes to adolescent and adult students. [N2-NA-PP1-2_K3]

Students have well-developed observation skills of situations and pedagogical actions during an English lesson carried out by other teachers and by the trainees themselves with adolescent and adult learners. [N2-NA-PP1-2_U1]

Students can use and integrate their theoretical knowledge in the field of pedagogy and psychology to analyse and interpret various specific kinds of pedagogical situations and actions as well as the motives and patterns of behaviour of their participants during lessons of English observed and carried out by themselves among adolescent and adult learners. During the English lessons observed and carried out by the students themselves they can evaluate the applicability of various methods, procedures and good practices to the realisation of didactic and educational tasks related to the specific educational levels among adolescents and adults. During observations and carrying out their own lessons with adolescents and adults as well as when preparing the documentation, students can skillfully use the rules of ethics. [N2-NA-PP1-2_U4]

Students possess broad and deep knowledge about the processes of interpersonal and social communication in pedagogical activity of English language teacher as well as the correctness and disturbances in the processes during the lessons with adolescents and adults. [N2-NA-PP1-2_W1]

Students possess broad and deep knowledge of the contemporary theories of education, learning and teaching foreign languages and various conditions governing the processes possible to observe during lessons of English with adolescents and adults. [N2-NA-PP1-2_W2]

Students possess deepened knowledge about the subjects of pedagogical activity (students and teachers) and the specificity of their functioning in the general educational context with a special emphasis put on the lessons of English with adolescents and adults. [N2-NA-PP1-2_W3]

Students have deep and well-structured knowledge about the methodology of doing tasks - procedures and good practices used in teaching foreign languages with a special focus on teaching English to adolescents and adults. [N2-NA-PP1-2_W4]

During or after each observed lesson, students fill in an observation sheet. The sheets are submitted to the institute teacher training mentor as a part of the documentation confirming the completion of the teaching practice by the student. What is assessed is the systematicity and precision of observation.

On the basis of observations carried out on their own, students prepare written assignments, in which they express their ideas on topics related to the content of observations. What is assessed here is the carefulness of observation, the ability to relate it to the pre-service teacher's knowledge gained at college, and the ability to formulate conclusions of such basis.

Before the commencement and after the completion of the teaching practice students submit to the teaching practice mentor in the institute the whole documentation necessary to start and complete the teaching practice. What is assessed is the correctness and thoroughness of the documentation as well as keeping to the deadlines.

Before carrying out each lesson students prepare in writing the lesson plan and after the lesson the students evaluate the lessons in a discussion with their mentor. After finishing the teaching practice the students prepare a report of their teaching containing the description of their activities and conclusions from the practice, which is confirmed by the mentors with their signatures. Next the mentor writes the opinion of the practice in which the content of the lessons, the thoroughness of the plan, the ability to use the theory in teaching practice and the ability to form observations of the teaching process on the basis of the student own teaching experience is evaluated. The students enclose the opinion and the lesson plans to the documentation. Selected lesson plans are evaluated by the university teaching practice coordinator.
