Description:
During classes students acquire and develop simultaneous interpreting skills while interpreting a variety of texts including but not limited to speeches, interviews, presentations, academic presentations and commercial texts. Students gains knowledge and insights about the interpreting process and factors which influence its outcome, i.e. the interpretation itself, as well as interpreting strategies and methods. Students work in both directions, that is, from Polish into English and English into Polish. The texts vary in terms of genre, subject matter and audience.

Completion of the module TLN-S2-KTJA2-2_TSM2 (prior simultaneous interpreting experience)

In class students interpret simultaneously short texts from Polish into English and from English into Polish. The texts are selected by the teacher. Students’ performance is assessed by the teacher. Each student then receives individual feedback from the teacher.
