Description:
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic issues of lexicography, such as typology of dictionaries, the use of dictionaries, collection and selection of material, lexicographic presentation of headwords, definitions In monolingual dictionaries, equivalence, etymology, dictionary projects, electronic dictionaries, the use of dictionaries in translation. The aim of the course is also to acquaint student with language corpora and their application in linguistics.
