Description: | The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basics of German morphology. The verb and the noun get special prominence in the course. The theoretical issues discussed in lectures are illustrated with practical examples during classes. German grammatical structures are compared with their Polish counterparts. Students’ attention is also directed at the interrelationships between grammar and lexis and specific types of verbal and nominal constructions in German. Students are taught how to associate grammatical phenomena and perceive grammar as a holistic model, essential in the language system. |
