Programme code: | W2-S1BI19.2025 |
Semester: | winter semester 2027/2028 |
Language of instruction: | Polish |
Form of verification: | course work |
ECTS credits: | 3 |
Purpose and description of the content of education: | The module provides basic knowledge of biophysics necessary for a better understanding of biological phenomena and processes and for acquiring the ability to approach them in a multifaceted and rigorous manner. It emphasises the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in the natural sciences by integrating methods from physics, mathematics and computer science in contemporary biology. The module develops the ability to apply biophysical methods in the analysis of selected biological issues, with particular emphasis on measurement, analysis and data interpretation. It enables the identification of the theoretical foundations of biophysical methods used in biology and develops competences related to the design and implementation of simple scientific experiments. |
