Programme code: W4-S1FM19.2025

Module name: Radiological Techniques II
Module code: W4-FM-ER-S1-6-23-50
Programme code: W4-S1FM19.2025
Semester: summer semester 2027/2028
Language of instruction: Polish
Form of verification: course work
ECTS credits: 3
Purpose and description of the content of education:
This course is a compulsory subject for the specialization in Electroradiology. During the classes, students learn the principles of patient positioning for X-ray imaging. In CT examinations, they become familiar with the action of contrast agents, contraindications for their administration, and the procedure to follow in case of intolerance symptoms. Students acquire knowledge and skills in the following areas: 1. Dentistry imaging 2. Spine imaging 3. CT of the head and facial bones 4. CT of the spine Through practical exercises conducted in Radiology Departments, students learn to independently position patients for various examinations and determine appropriate exposure conditions. They also familiarize themselves with the use of shielding to protect the patient. Students engage in independent work using textbooks and atlases. They also become acquainted with the established work procedures in each Radiology Department.
