Purpose and description of the content of education:
During the laboratory sessions, students familiarize themselves with selected medical equipment used in diagnostics and therapy. The classes are conducted in small groups in medical facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and laboratories. Under the supervision of specialists in the respective field, students learn how to operate specialized medical equipment in the following areas: Mammography and Computer Tomography Magnetic Resonance Imaging Mechanical Assistance Methods for Cardiac Function (perfusion, extracorporeal circulation pumps, oxygenators, artificial heart, etc., including testing on a research workstation) Heart Valve Prosthesis Testing (including testing on a research workstation) Functional Respiratory System Tests Vascular Studies Microtomography Thermography Magnetostimulation Ultrasonography Laser Therapy
