Purpose and description of the content of education: | During the lecture, the student is familiarized with the following topics:
Internal environment of the body and homeostasis regulation. Excitability, basic concepts, membrane potential, action potential - definitions, electrical components. Physiology of skeletal and smooth muscles, neuromuscular synapses. Peripheral and central nervous system, reflexes, and higher nervous functions. Receptors, definition, and classification. Circulatory system, hemodynamics, cardiac cycle, regulation of cardiac function. Respiratory system function, regulation of respiration. Digestive system, secretory function, absorption, and motility. Structure and function of the endocrine and urinary systems. Structure and functioning of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Cell cycle. Division of nuclear material and cells: mitosis, meiosis, cytokinesis. Organization of cells into tissues - intercellular connections, extracellular matrix. Types of cells and tissues, cell specialization.
During laboratory classes, the student familiarizes themselves with and performs the following tasks:
Principles of microscope operation. Observation of blood smears of red and white blood cells. Blood group determination. Rh factor determination. Measurement of arterial blood pressure and pulse examination. Influence of gravity on blood pressure and heart rate. Electrocardiogram (EKG). Determination of the electrical axis of the heart. Fitness test W 170. BMI determination. Examination of the cardiovascular system fitness. Spirometry - examination of the respiratory system fitness. Visual acuity examination. Visual field examination. Examination of reflexes. Measurement of reflex time. |
