Purpose and description of the content of education:
The course aims to present and understand the most important issues and discoveries of 20th century physics, with a special focus on phenomena demonstrating quantum effects. It will include: thermal radiation of bodies and its dependence on temperature; the Planck model of radiation, the concept of the photon, wave-particle duality, Bohr's model of the atom, the ground and excited states of the atom, transitions between states, emission and absorption spectra of gases, ionization and photoelectric phenomena.
