Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of this module is to introduce students to the fundamentals of drama, theatre and other performance arts within their historical, socio-political and cultural contexts. The course will examine both seminal plays in English and other dramatic texts that illustrate the interplay between the world of theatre and wider spheres of life such as the visual arts, politics or contemporary social challenges. |
