Purpose and description of the content of education:
This module introduces students to key current events and issues shaping contemporary culture and society in English-speaking countries or covered in global English-language media. Topics such as politics, social movements, the environment, or cultural change are explored through news stories, multimedia, and guided discussion. The course supports language development through active engagement with authentic materials and regular speaking practice. Students build vocabulary, fluency, and confidence while learning to express informed opinions on real-world issues in English.
