Purpose and description of the content of education:
This module provides an introduction to the key concepts, theories, and debates in the study of culture. Students will explore major approaches to understanding culture as a system of meanings, practices, and power relations. The course examines foundational thinkers and movements in cultural theory. Students will learn to critically analyze cultural phenomena and reflect on the role of culture in shaping social identities, values, and historical change. Through lectures and discussions, the module develops skills in theoretical interpretation, critical thinking, and applying cultural concepts to real-world examples.
