Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is to provide students with an overview of British literature - from its origins (the Old English period) to the period of the restoration of the monarchy. The lectures present chronologically the main literary trends, genres and conventions characteristic of each era, as well as the most important works and authors, setting them in a historical and cultural context. The classes are dedicated to an in-depth analysis of selected literary texts from the periods discussed in the lectures.
