Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the internship is: Getting to know the structure of tasks and functions of cultural and educational institutions or companies operating in the field of a selected specialty. Familiarizing students with the realizations of professional work in institutions disseminating and promoting art or related to art marketing or companies operating in the field of the selected specialization. Expanding knowledge and practical skills regarding techniques, technologies and materials used in projects in the field of fine arts or applied arts. Practical application and verification of skills acquired during classes in workshop studios. Shaping the skills necessary for future professional work. Preparing the student for independence and responsibility for the tasks entrusted to him. Creating favorable conditions for the student's professional activity on the labor market.The specificity of the University, its diversity, its model – the universe (various disciplines, fields, ideas, skills and knowledge) encourage the diversification of practices into external and internal ones, implemented at the University, in its subordinate units, such as the University Newspaper, the University Press, the University Gallery and other galleries and exhibition points operating within the University of Silesia. This form of internship gives the student the opportunity to thoroughly learn about the entire universe of the University, and this value is part of the mission of the University of Silesia. Internal internships enable the implementation of appropriate learning outcomes, as they include exhibition activities, teamwork, design work, artistic and organizational activities.
