Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is to convey knowledge about the main contemporary theories and schools in communication studies, as well as to provide information about types of communication techniques; types of media statements; ways in which different media operate. As a result, students should be able to use terminology from the field of communication studies in their future professional work, especially in interpersonal contacts with colleagues and stakeholders of cultural institutions. Students should be able to accurately analyze specific communication situations, including media messages. Students should be aware of the significance of communication competencies in the functioning of various cultural and scientific institutions, especially in the face of the development of modern communication and information technologies.
