Purpose and description of the content of education: | The "Geographic Information Systems III" module indicates methods and ways to solve natural problems using digital database analyses. It will allow you to master both the theoretical foundations of GIS and the essential functions of the tool - GIS software and its practical use in geographic environment research. The student will learn to acquire vector and raster data from various Internet sources and advance work on their basis. The student improves data visualisation skills, transformation and coordinate systems, and raster image registration.
