Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is to develop students' competences in the preparation and reliable development of a text in the form of a chapter, a fragment of team work or an element of a group project, or a report, meeting all the criteria characteristic of a typical diploma thesis (conceptual equipment, methodology of writing a diploma thesis, documenting sources, etc. .). Each participant of a major team project, under the substantive supervision of a supervisor/tutor, is obliged to write an assigned fragment of a larger whole in the form of, for example, a chapter or an annex. The issues of the group study are intended to be worked out jointly in the entire group under the supervision of a given supervisor/tutor. In the first semester of classes, the main goal is to determine the issues that will be dealt with by the team and its individual members, as well as to undertake all preparatory activities aimed at proper preparation for further stages of writing work (including collecting bibliographies, conducting empirical research). if any are expected). The next semester is aimed at improving the activities initiated earlier and assumes substantive work on individual tasks assigned individually to each participant of the major team project. The last semester involves the finalization of previous activities and work preparing the entire collective work/report/project in terms of editing, so that it can be made public either in paper form or posted as an e-book on the university's website.
In addition to developing research and writing competences, an important goal of this module, implemented from semester 4 to 6, is to develop teamwork skills, in particular problem-solving and joint development of goals, as well as practicing coordination and cooperation under the supervision of the promoter - project coordinator. The final, ready-made project is one of the elements of the diploma exam, during which the student answers three questions, one of which is drawn from a pool of previously known issues, the second question is asked by the Committee and concerns the team project, and the third question is asked by the Committee. is related to the presentation that the examinee presents to the Committee in any form (traditional speech or using audiovisual means, e.g. multimedia presentation).
