Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is to familiarise students with the basic issues and terminology of the performing arts, as well as the genre varieties of contemporary performance, with a particular focus on their media conditions and the many manifestations of mediatisation. Within the module, the student acquires the ability to analyse various forms of performance, and hones the ability to discuss their functions in media culture and the extent of their impact on social life or individual identity. The classes are conducted in the form of a conversation room, partly outside the walls of the university due to the necessity for the student to participate in various performance practices, the experience of which is an important component of the analysis process.
