Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is to provide the student with an understanding of the historical and contemporary ways in which European and world cultures are represented within Western media traditions. The student will gain competence in recognising the mechanisms of exoticisation and orientalisation of difference and the ideologisation of cross-cultural difference. |
