Celem modułu jest: 1) Ukazanie procesu rozwoju i zmian chrześcijaństwa od czasów apostolskich do późnego antyku; 2) Podkreślenie integralnego związku chrześcijaństwa ze światem grecko-rzymskiego antyku; 3) Podkreślenie wpływu chrześcijaństwa na kulturę śródziemnomorską i europejską.
