Purpose and description of the content of education: | The module "Remote sensing of the natural environment" aims to acquire knowledge about taking aerial and satellite photos and to acquire the ability to process these data. It indicates methods of using remote sensing data for monitoring and a better understanding of global and local processes on Earth's surface, based on analytical and digital techniques. |

Learning outcome of the module | Codes of the learning outcomes of the programme to which the learning outcome of the module is related [level of competence: scale 1-5] |
---|---|
the student knows the principles of operation and operation of basic equipment and devices used to acquire and process remote sensing data. Is able to use basic knowledge in the field of remote sensing, general geographic knowledge and
electronic sources in the interpretation of aerial and satellite photos. It uses remote sensing data to interpret natural processes taking place on the Earth's surface [U01] |
U01 [3/5] |
appreciates the value of scientific research from the point of view of the development of air and satellite techniques, and understands the need to update knowledge in the field of remote sensing [U05] |
U05 [2/5] |
the student has knowledge of the basic concepts and terminology used in remote sensing, knows and understands the theoretical basis of remote sensing data acquisition techniques. He is aware of the development of this discipline and its place in relation to other sciences [W01] |
