Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the course is to learn about the complexity of the population problems of the contemporary world and Poland. The student understands the key concepts of population geography, is able to discuss the diversity of population distribution, dynamics and structures as well as their determinants. Is able to identify the regularities of spatial distribution of the population depending on the conditions of the geographical environment, indicate the causes and consequences of demographic transformation, the role of natural movement and migration in shaping population changes, the diversity of population structures. Correctly selects the optimal methods of obtaining, analyzing and presenting geographical data and edits statistical maps. |

he critically evaluates his knowledge, is ready to constantly supplement and improve the acquired knowledge and skills in the field of population geography [K01] |
K01 [2/5] |
the student can independently formulate and solve geographical problems: identify, analyze and interpret population phenomena. Can properly analyze the causes and course of specific population phenomena and processes against the background of socio-economic conditions; shows skills in the correct formulation of regularities in various spatial ranges (region, Poland, world). Can correctly indicate the consequences (social, political and economic) of phenomena and population processes Knows the possibilities of using knowledge in socio-economic life [U01] |
W01 [1/5] |
the student knows the methods and ways of obtaining data on population distribution, components of population changes and population structures in order to analyze specific population processes and phenomena. He is able to carry out a critical analysis and evaluation of the information obtained. He can properly select and apply methods and tools, including statistical, cartographic and graphical methods, advanced information and communication techniques [U02] |
W02 [2/5] |
has the ability to prepare typical written works, documented studies on specific issues in the field of population geography [U03] |
W01 [1/5] |
knows and understands the spatial regularities of population phenomena, the trends of their changes over time, various types of population structures and the causes, course and consequences of demographic processes.
